Helicopter Spins Uncontrollably into Palm Trees at Frequented Southern California Coast
A helicopter soaring over a popular California beach abruptly began spiraling uncontrollably, eventually dropping height and plunging into a line of palm trees as beachgoers looked on.
Videos uploaded on social media capture the aircraft commencing to spiral over the beach then falling towards the border of the beach, where it ends up lodged between palms and a set of stairs near the coastal road.
Emergency Response Update
Emergency responders said five people were taken to hospital involving a pair who were in the aircraft and were “rescued from the debris” after the incident on that day.
Three individuals on the road were harmed. Specifics on their condition were still under review.
The reason for the accident was still under investigation.

Officials mentioned the chopper was associated with an annual “Cars N Copters” charity gathering set for Sunday.
