Skydance Paramount Plans to Eliminate Around 2,000 American Positions – News

Skydance Paramount is scheduled to start large-scale job cuts the week of 27 October, cutting nearly 2,000 positions in the United States as part of a expense reduction strategy worth $2bn led by top executive David Ellison.

The workforce reduction come after the union between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized during August valued at $8.4bn.

More international job cuts are anticipated, with the company planning to reveal complete information during its third quarter earnings report on 10 November.

Previous updates suggested the firm planned to reduce from 2,000 to 3,000 positions by early November.

Until December 2024, the company employed nearly 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts and 3,500 project-based staff.
